Kirandeep Rayat, also known as KD, is an Indian Punjabi actor and model recognized for his work in Punjabi films, web series, and music videos. He is becoming well-known in the Punjabi entertainment industry for his performances in movies like “Jindra” (2022), “Saunh Mitti Di” (2023), and “Jatta Doli Na” (2024), as well as the Punjabi web series “84 Toh Baad” (2025).
Kirandeep Rayat was born on 20 June 1982 in New Delhi, India. He attended St. Marks Senior Secondary Public School in Delhi, where he actively took part in cultural activities. From a young age, he showed a strong interest in the performing arts, especially dance and theater, winning several awards in school and college competitions.
After finishing school, he studied Electrical Engineering at Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology in Delhi. During college, he continued to join stage performances and creative events, which deepened his passion for acting and storytelling.
Before joining the Punjabi film industry, Kirandeep Rayat gained attention by creating short videos on social media. His engaging content and natural screen presence helped him attract a following online.
In addition to acting, he worked as a brand ambassador for several companies, including Powerpack Home Appliances Co. His visibility grew when he appeared in the Punjabi music video “Depend” by Barrel, which introduced him to a larger audience in the Punjabi music and film industry.
